Bearskin Meadow Kids Camp (8 days)

Kids who are ready for an independent camp experience will find this camp filled with adventure, fun, and friendship deep in the heart of the Sierras. Campers are grouped with children their own age and sleep on a deck under the stars with two to three counselors. In addition to diabetes education, kids enjoy a classic camp experience with activities such as swimming, archery, nature, arts & crafts, sports, overnights, campfires, and more. Our experienced staff and healthcare team will help with all aspects of diabetes from carb counting to pump site changes; your child with T1D will be well supported and cared for at camp while having the time of their lives!

Bearskin Meadow Buddy Camp (6 days)

Kids with T1D can bring a buddy from home to enjoy the camp experience together! While at least one member of the buddy pair must have T1D, the other member can be a sibling, friend, or cousin. Together, the buddies will sleep under the stars and enjoy all of the fun activities offered at Bearskin Meadow Camp. Your child with T1D will be supported in all areas of diabetes management while their buddy learns and practices right alongside them.

Camp de los Niños (6 days)

This program is a great option for participants who are looking for a shorter camp experience closer to the Bay Area.  This camp is held at YMCA Camp Loma Mar, in Loma Mar, CA. Campers are grouped together with other kids their own age and live inside cabins with their counselors.  This week long program includes many of the activities offered at our Bearskin Meadow program in a fast-paced environment.  Camp de los Niños is completely english speaking.

Surf Day in Pacifica (One Day)

Kids can play in the ocean or take surfing lessons while parents watch and enjoy the beach. Professional surf instructors and counselors trained in diabetes management lead this popular program for T1D families. Equipment and light snacks are provided. Siblings and friends are encouraged to register as Surf Buddies or just come along and play on the beach!
