Founded in 2000, Brave Buddies focuses on sharing practical information related to day-to-day life with T1D. Topics of discussion include school advice, 504 accommodations, managing sports, useful products, research studies, and more.

what is a 504 accomodation
A 504 Plan is written accommodations and care plans developed under federal disability law to ensure that your child’s diabetes needs are met at school. These plans ensure a child living with diabetes has the same educational opportunities as everyone else, while creating a safe environment for them.
